As a nail polish collector, and well with many collectors, I enjoy the hunt. I love looking for new polishes. Honestly I have found quite a few gems looking for something totally unrelated. So I was so happy when I finally found the Salon Perfect Holographic polishes and decided to purchase these three to share with all of you.

The holo effect on these is soft/subtle. There are varying levels of holographic effect in polishes. There are scattered holo glitters, subtle holos, and linear holos. While I LOVE linear holos and scattered holo glitters, I wanted to try these because it's nice to have variety!

Green Room is a dark sea foam green with very subtle holographic shimmer. These photos were taken outside in direct sunlight the holo in this shade is incredibly weak and disappointing. However the formula was very good and completely opaque in two coats.

Starlet is a medium deep blue with holographic shimmer. Here we go folks! These photos are in shade and varying direct and indirect sunlight. You can clearly see the holo shift in this one and the formula was perfect in two coats.

Fade Out is a charcoal grey with holo shimmer. This has a nice holo shift and great formula. This is two coats.

So what do you think? I personally am in love with Starlet and Fade Out and can't decide which is my favorite. What say you? Let me know in the comments and thanks for stopping by.

The majority of my collection consists of creams and glitters and a small collection of holos. I've never really been a fan of duochromes or foils but when I spotted this baby at Walmart I had to grab it.

Pink Tafetta is a pink, slightly purple, and gold shifting duochrome. The formula is great it was a bit streaky (which is why I don't care for these sort of polishes) but I remembered a tip from a fellow blogger about sponging on a layer and no more streaks! The photos below are two coats with one extra coat sponged on.

This is two coats with top coat

And this is with a matte top coat.

In all I love this polish especially with no streakiness. With that little tip I think I will be adding some duochromes to my collection in the future. Thanks for stopping by.

Today I bring you a pretty cool double gradient. Since I got these Salon Perfect Floam type polishes I wanted to try a manicure like this and glad that I did! It looks so cool.

Salon Perfect - Shocked is packed with blue and bright pink matte glitters in a clear base.

H&M - Come Away With Me is a bright teal sorta aqua cream with hidden blue microshimmer. The formula is awesome and is a one coater.

Barielle - Expressive is slightly muted pink toned lilac cream with a great formula as well.

I used one coat of Expressive and sponged on a second coat along with Come Away With Me and two coats of Shocked. I actually wore this for a full on week I was so mesmerized by my nails. Thanks for stopping by.

Salon Perfect - Kaboom

First let me say that when the nail boards and blogs started talking about this polish I was really excited. Firstly because it is a dupe of Floam by Ninja Polish. Kids that grew up in the 90's remember Floam right?

Yeah that squishy stuff that your parents prayed you wouldn't get into the carpet. Well Ninja Polish created a polish that looks quite like the green and blue version of this stuff. Well this summer Salon Perfect released three matte glitter polishes one of which is a dupe for Floam.

Kaboom contains matte micro glitter in neon yellow and blue. It can be used as a layering polish or built up to opacity on it's own. I have swatches of the latter.

This is three coats of Kaboom with a hefty four coats of Seche Vite. In the future I would use this for layering. I should have used thinner coats as well. But still a very pretty and unique polish that i'm glad to own.

This manicure really makes me want to squish some floam through my fingers it was such a strange texture. Thanks for stopping by.

I hope you had an awesome weekend as summer is coming to a close. This past weekend was tax free weekend and I did a little back to school shopping and caught up on some laundry, Greys Anatomy and sleep!

While I loved my Summer Escape manicure I decided to sponge the tips with Salon Perfect - Traffic Cone and then add on two coats of Maybelline's Polka Dots - Clearly Spotted. I instantly fell in love with this manicure and i'm actually STILL wearing it. It's bright and crazy distracting.

Today I have a few photos of a fantastic neon polish I picked up at Walmart by a brand called Salon Perfect in Summer Escape.

Bottle shape seem familiar? Well Salon Perfect seems to be the sister company of China Glaze. Many core China Glaze shades have been repackaged as Salon Perfect but with a different name. China Glaze polishes are usually priced around $8.00 while Salon Perfect retails at just under $4.00 so keep your eyes peeled next time you're at Wally World.

This shade is eye searing in the sunlight and my camera went absolutely crazy while I was trying to capture photos so please excuse the blurriness.

Thanks for stopping by.
