So if you follow me on the facebook fan page you know that November 2013 was the officially renamed "Buy All The Polish" as fare as my paypal account is concerned! I was getting 3-5 packages per week last month! It was insane but there were so many amazing sales and new restocks I just couldn't resist!

One of the newest brands I have discovered in my hoarding period is Arcane Lacquer based out of good ole' Australia. I purchased them from Llarowe who had a great 50% off of clearance polishes so I picked up Respite Love and Locked in Limbo.

Locked In Limbo is described as a light grey crelly with blue to magenta flecks. I was able to capture all the lovely blue but not the magenta, which are very faint. The formula was good. This is two coats with no top coat.

Respite Lane is described as a bright blue was with green shimmer. The formula on this one was just okay. For some reason i'm not loving the shimmer in this one but love the base color. This is two coats with no top coat.

I am definitely liking this brand and plan on purchasing more of their polishes. Arcane Lacquer can be purchased at Llarowe. Let me know what you think in the comments and thanks for stopping by.

Happy Saturday folks! Today i'm very excited to bring to you the World Opulence collection from a new indie brand called Kilox Lacquers.

"kiloX lacquers was started with a single goal in mind; to make a lacquer that looked like Morgan's beloved cat Kilo. A black lacquer with the perfect shimmer and green flash. After mixing and matching a franken polish that captured her heart, Morgan decided to recreate it to share with the world.
Accompanying KILO during kiloX lacquers' launch is the Rescue Collection and the Fall 2013 World Opulence collection, a collection of lacquers inspired by rich gemstones from around the world.
kiloX lacquers focuses on quality, beauty, and customer service. kiloX Lacquers are 5 free."

Columbian Emerald  is described as a lush, tropical green that shimmers from within. Two different sizes of Emerald microglitter glisten like the stone that inspired them. This color is a bit complex! Look at the polish on my ring finger near my cuticle, it's a bit charcoal! In one single coat, the glitter shined beautifully but the second coat sandwiched it so I would recommend using this in a single coat over a polish with a similar base color.

Australian Silver is described as an elegant silver metallic. I usually don't like silver polish but I LOVED this one! The formula was great with just a tinge of visible nail line after two coats (easily fixed with a third or a milky base coat). It really felt like Christmas on my fingertips!
Burmese Ruby is described as a rich red metallic lacquer with scattered ruby microglitter throughout. Like Columbian Emerald, the glitter disappeared at second coat so I would recommend undies for this one as well. But the formula was good but it's streaky so I in the future I would definitely sponge on a coat. This is two coats.
Egyptian Amethyst is described as a sheer wash of metallic lavendar allows square glitters, microglitters, and hex glitters to shine in this Egyptian Amethyst inspired lacquer. These photos don't even do this polish justice! The glitters got trapped second coat but all the microglitters came out beautifully and shine nicely. I really love this base color and the shimmer of it all. This is two coats.

Norwegian Topaz is described as Norwegian Topaz lacquer begins with a deep orange metallic and is accented by amber glitter squares and a sprinkling of toasted microglitter. I didn't expect to like this but I love it and it's the same color as my birthstone. Orange polish usually looks terrible on me but this is a winner. You get it all, good metallic effect, the glitter, the holo microglitter especially! I actually wore this one for two days and got a lot of compliments. This is two coats.

Sri Lankan Sapphire is described as Deep as the South Asian ocean, Sri Lankan Sapphire has deep blue, navy, and sky blue microglitters to evoke the many facets of the beautiful stone it's named for. This is my favorite polish from this collection! It has the same mysterious deep base that peeks through like Columbian Emerald, it has the microglitters that didn't get lost...it's just beautiful! This is two coats. Even my daughter put it on after she saw my nails.

Opulent is described as a topcoat that turns any polish into a beautiful scattered holographic.Yes, my photo mistakenly says Opulence, sorry. But this is my absolute favorite of all! These photos were INDOORS with flash and still get crazy holo effect! I recommend purchasing this one because it adds so much to any regular mani. This is one coat over a purple cream polish.
See what I mean? This was just a normal gray manicure for work, nothing special. But add Opulent and BAM! Even the FedEx guy complimented me on my nails.

And there you have it! Kilox Lacquers retail at $12.00 each but the whole collection is actually on sale right now for $60.00 so be sure to check them out and thanks for stopping by.

A few months back I went to Walgreens (while on a no buy mind you) and hit the lottery. They had Essie polish marked down to $2.00 each. Naturally, I had to buy a large undisclosed number because that is what you do when Essie's are two bucks.

Bobbing for Baubles is a dusty deep blue polish with a creme polish. It applied nicely in two coats. I like this shade for fall but it isn't really a stunner on me, i've seen it swatched on others and it is insanely gorgeous but I feel a little meh about it. I do however love muted and dusty deep shades.

Thanks for reading and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday Thursday everyone! Well, it's my Friday anyways. Today is my last day at my firm which is a little bittersweet, I really have enjoyed my time here and the atmosphere is amazing and i've made great friends as well. But, the show must go on.

Today I bring you another matte polish from Sinful Colors called Cold Leather.

Cold Leather is a deep navy blue with a matte finish. The formula was pretty smooth, my pinky is a little wonky but that was my doing and no reflection on the polish itself. But this is stunning with top coat and how I wore it.

If you haven't already, go enter my giveaway to win a bottle of Zoya - Maria Luisa and some other goodies as well! Thanks for stopping by.

October 1, 2013

Can you believe it's October already? Summer really just flew by us and September seriously seemed like a blur. Probably my two favorite things about right now is pumpkin flavored everything and the fact that Grey's Anatomy is back. My life is like super duper exciting.

Last year Zoya (and a lot of other polish companies) released a gold leaf top coat called Gilty. For some strange reason I slept on it then like every stupid guy in a romantic comedy didn't realize I wanted it until it was too late. I did however recently buy it on ebay for a decent price but when I saw Maria Luisa I decided not to let history repeat itself with Maria Luisa.
Maria Luisa is a yellow gold flake polish in a clear base. It's incredibly dense and can be worn alone with great coverage. It's a little thick but nothing a little thinner couldn't fix. This looks good over just about anything. Above is one coat of Maria Luisa over two coats of Essie Bobbing for Baubles.

I will be giving away a bottle of this polish as a part of my 100 Facebook Likes Giveaway so stay tuned!

Hope you had a great weekend! I know I did. Had a great night in with the fiance', got a massage on Saturday, and visited my local nail supply store.
Couple months back I won the entire Cult Nails Road Trip collection from a giveaway that Steph of Imperfectly Painted was running and finally got around to swatching them. It was right on time too because I was about to purchase Mayhem.

This collection consists of three creme polishes with two top coats. Mayhem which is a holographic top coat and All Out which is a shimmering yellow orange with yellow gold shimmer.

I'm glad fall is starting to roll in. I can't wait to pull out my sweaters and boots and eat soup. Fall is absolutely my favorite season, warm enough to enjoy the weather, cool enough to breathe and the colors are beautiful.

Today I bring you two polishes from my ever so popular but never depleting untried drawer!

August 23, 2013

Firstly, thank you to everyone that is following my blog it really does mean a lot to me and I appreciate it.

I have been a bit busy with my new job (which I love) my daughter going back to school, getting back into the gym and this weekend my fiance and I will start training for our first 5K.

In the midst of all of that, I cut my nails down to nubs due to my keyboard at work annoying me. And just because the world has a cruel since of irony, I was offered a new keyboard the very next day. FML.

I have cut my nails down to nubs before and had no real issues with it, but this time I hated the way my hands looked. They have grown out a bit more and look much better but as a result I haven't really been painting my nails or swatching. This is what i'm wearing today,

Color Club Blue-topia is a blue black crelly polish. It is almost a one coater but I have two coats shown here with topcoat.

I also won a contest from a fellow blogger and have an entire collection to show you which is exciting because it's from a brand that i've wanted to try for a long time.

So have a fun, safe weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Slowly Lottie Dottie

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend.

Today's post comes courtesy of my untried drawer in my Melmer. This spring I bought a few polishes I had been lemming forever by KB Shimmer. I was able to maintain my sanity and only purchase three but that number definitely will grow, trust me.

Wet N Wild - Slowly Teal and See: Not actually teal at all, but a gorgeous bright blue creme with a great formula.

KB Shimmer - Lottie Dottie: A milky jelly base with pink and blue round glitter, pink and blue micro glitter, and pink and blue small bar glitter.

I was instantly drawn to this polish after seeing swatches and the name (my two youngest sisters share the name). I will be wearing Lottie Dottie again soon it was opaque in three smooth coats and no fishing for glitter at all.

Do you own any KB Shimmer polishes? If so which are your faves? Thanks for stopping by.

August 2, 2013

Today I bring to you a manicure inspired by Darcy of Sparrow Nails from a photo she posted on her instagram. I was blown away and immediately had to take a stab at it.

Sinful Colors - Candy Coated: Purple Creme
Sinful Colors - Why Not: Blue Creme
Sally Hansen - Mint Sorbet - Mint Creme

I used a dotting tool for the polka dots and used tape and sponged on my gradient on my accent nail. Easy Peasy.

Thanks for stopping by.

August 1, 2013

Today I have a manicure with three of the new Wet n' Wild Pop Art Craze polishes.

A Blank Canvas - White creme. Very streaky (more so than the WnW French Creme) and a bit thick. I used two coats.

Slowly and See - A bright aqua blue creme. This formula was fantastic and easy to work with.

Listening to Blue Reed - A bright blue creme, same as the former a great polish to work with.

I used my Pueen plate to stamp the design on my nails and sealed with a coat of Out The Door.

I really wish Wet n' Wild would come with more releases of their Wild Shine formula. It feels like we used to get a new collection each season of these babies and now it seems more like twice a year and it's such a bummer because they are always such great colors with a stellar formula.

Thanks for stopping by.

Julie G - Cabana Boy

Today I have photos of one of my favorite drug store brands: Julie G. Firstly, I love Julie G and have followed her on youtube for years so I was so excited when her polish line was released.

Cabana Boy is a bright blue cream it is practically a one coater but this is two coats for good measure. Great formula, no problems or chipping.

Thanks for stopping by.
